Habits to Avoid to Have an Acne-free Skin

You have searched everywhere for the best acne treatment in the Philippines, yet the annoying dots remain. The ugly and oily spots keep on returning with vengeance. What is the right course you should take then? You have tried everything – those scientifically proven to word-of-mouth remedies. It doesn’t only drain your money; your self-esteem could suffer as well. The kind of ridicule someone gets from having an acne-battered face is not for the faint heart and it is not an enjoyable experience, especially in the pre-adolescent stage. It is the stage where a teen builds up his/her self-confidence and still struggles with peer pressure.

Okay, before we get too emotional, let us have a recap of what acne really is. Skinacea says, “Acne is formed when a pore in your skin becomes blocked with dead skin cells or oil, creating a nice little home for p. acnes (the acne bacteria).” The terms ‘dead skin cells’, ‘oil’, and ‘bacteria’ could already make your skin crawl; what more if it invades yours? Don’t run to the nearest drugstore or dermatologist yet. Maybe – just maybe – the home remedies such as honey, lemon, orange, papaya, avocado, oats, or potato. These are cheaper and all natural.

However, as they say, prevention is better than cure, so if you’re doing any of the following, better stop it at once:

·         Delaying your laundry schedule - yup, those soft fluffy pillows in your bedroom are a landing area of dead skin cells. You don’t want to rub those again on your face, right?  At least change covers and blankets once a week. Add to your list the facial and body towels as well.

·         Putting off makeup removal - make it a habit to remove your makeup and wash your face thoroughly with clean water before going to sleep. These beauty products are full of chemicals harmful to your skin. Try using non-comedogenic or water-based products.

·         Touching them - hands are one of the dirtiest parts of the body; so it is as if you’re somehow unconsciously transferring germs on your face. Avoid also the temptation of popping a zit – just don’t. Applying pressure on your face, for example placing over a phone, causes breakouts.

·         Skipping your beauty routine - no matter how tired you are, don’t forget or be lazy about it especially if you’re under treatment. Sadly, you will go back to zero once you break this. Eventually waiting more months to see the results and paying additional skyrocketing fees.

·         Stress - A blemish free and flawless skin is hard to achieve. This proves to be a great feat for those who suffer from severe cases of acne. Just don’t be too hard and harsh on yourself. You have to be extra patient because it really takes time and the healing is a continuous process.

When we talk about summer, one thing will first come up in our mind, Beach! There are many beaches in the Philippines that you can spend your summer vacation such as the El Nido in Palawan, Palaui Island in Cagayan Valley, Batayan Island in Cebu and the white sand beach of Boracay in Aklan. There are tour packages that will surely fit to your budget to have a summer vacation in beach since many of us are thinking that taking a vacation trip is very expensive, so they prepared to spend their summer vacation on some private/public resort near them. Still, going to the beach is a vast experience and many of us are taking this opportunity to get a tan skin this summer. Because having a Tanned skin can make you look radiant, sexy and attractive. But you have to be careful in tanning your skin because it might cause a sunburned.

So to help you to get a good Tan without getting sunburned, these are some ideas and tips that you can follow:

Exfoliate your skin before you’ll start

This is to avoid your tanned skin looks speckled. You can use a body scrub to get rid all the dead surface skin cells. Just make sure that you will scrub all dead skin surface.

Use moisturizer

It is important to put a moisturizer on your fingernail, feet, toenails and eyebrows so that it will avoid in turning it an unwanted color.

Instead of wearing sunblock, use sunscreen.

By using sunscreen, it will penetrate the sun’s ray and protect your skin from UVA and UVB rays while tanning. It’s better to use a water-resistant sunscreen so it will bind to your skin, just wait 15 minutes before going to swim.

Avoid peak hours

This is very important. Do not lay out when the sun’s rays are in its strongest time to avoid getting sunburn. It’s between 10am and 4pm.

Don’t overdo it

It’s important to slowly build up your time in the sun. You can set 15 minutes per week, and then add 5 minutes every week. Though the process of your tan is gradually, at least you will not burn yourself.
If you’re planning to get tan at home with Tanning spray, follow these tips to do it perfectly:

Tinted aerosol

When using clear a clear aerosol, ask your friends or someone who already does this kind of tanning process so they will give you some advised on how much you will apply. It is also advisable to use a tinted aerosol so you can actually monitor how much you will put and which area needs to put lightly especially on your elbows and knees. It’s better to add moisturizer in these areas.

Technique in spraying your back

Step backward your right foot and spray it just like you’re spraying a perfume and do it 2 to 3 times to make sure that you applied it enough to your back. Also, if you have below shoulder hair, tied it up so it will not damage your hair. There are some chemicals in tanning spray that might damage your hair.

Tanned remover

There is some instance that we can’t avoid making some mistake in applying a tanning spray. You can buy a tanned remover to take off the dark spots just be careful in doing this so you will not get a scratch.
If you’re planning to use a self-tanning Mousse or Gel, you can follow these tips to apply it correctly:

Moisturizer with gradual tanner

You need to make sure that the moisturizer that you’re going to use is formulated with DHA. This will make a double duty in those areas that you might miss to apply a mousse or gel.

Start at the bottom

Start adding the mousse or gel on the bottom part of your body to top so that it will not crease your skin when you bend over.

Ask a partner

When using a mousse or gel, it will take you a hard time to apply it on your back so it is advisable to ask a partner in doing this.

Looking sexy and attractive with tanned skin makes you feel confident but you may take a risk for any possible mistake so be sure to do it correctly and perfectly. There are many Salons around the country that offering body tan treatment that you can consider if you’re not comfortable to do it by yourself.

After successfully doing the tanning, let the world stun with your sexy beach body. Happy summer folks!
